What is CBD?

CBD (cannabidiol) is a natural compound (cannabinoid) found in the cannabis plant family. It is the most beneficial cannabinoid found in the cannabis family and is most predominately found in hemp plants. Read more about the science behind CBD and why it’s beneficial for you and your pet.

Is CBD legal?

YES.

Pet Releaf CBD hemp oil is derived from certified USDA organic hemp grown at our joint-partnership farm in Eastern, Colorado. It is legal to purchase and possess in all 50 states and many countries around the world.

The United States Court of Appeal for the Ninth Circuit in Hemp Industries Assn., v. Drug Enforcement Admin., 357 F.3d 1012 (9th Cir. 2004), recognized that “non-psychoactive hemp [that] is derived from
the ‘mature stalks’ or is ‘oil and cake made from the seeds’ of the Cannabis plant, …fits within the plainly stated exception to the CSA definition of marijuana.” Id. at 1017.

Industrial hemp is legal to import under the Controlled Substances Act (CSA). Since 1937, the federal statute controlling marijuana has excluded the stalk, fiber, oil, and sterilized seed of the plant Cannabis
sativa L., commonly known as hemp, from the definition of “marijuana”.

Is CBD safe?

Yes!

Pet Releaf CBD hemp oil is a plant-based “superfood”. It is derived from the largest USDA organic hemp farm right here in the United States. Our CBD hemp oil is 100% natural, completely safe and non-toxic. It will never get your pets “high” and it is impossible to “overdose” using our products.

Do we need a prescription from our vet for CBD products?

No!

Since all Pet Releaf products are 100% natural, including our USDA organic certified CBD, you will not need a veterinarian to prescribe our products. We do recommend letting your vet know that you are using Pet Releaf products so they have a full picture of pet’s health profile.

Can I give Pet Releaf products alongside the other medications or pharmaceuticals my pet is currently prescribed?

Yes! Pet Releaf products have no known contraindications and can safely be administered alongside the other medications your pet is on. We would always recommend consulting with your vet when introducing Pet Releaf products into your pet’s daily regimen.

How do I know which product to purchase and how much to give my pet?

How long will one bottle of Pet Releaf hemp oil last my pet?

Each of our oils contains 30 full droppers. In order to find out how long a bottle will last you, simply divide the daily recommended amount by 30!

Are Pet Releaf products only for sick dogs?

No! Pet Releaf Edibites are for pets of all ages and can be incorporated as a daily “superfood smoothie”, neuroprotectant,  and includes anti-aging properties that help your pets brain, hips, and joints.
