NEW YEAR PET RESOLUTIONS FOR 2017
It’s 2017 and people have either made their New Year’s Resolutions, or they have made up their minds not to have one. Whichever camp you fall in, we’re sure that you can get behind these easy and doable New Year’s Resolutions for your pet. Because your pet needs goals too, right?
1. LEARN A NEW TRICK
Sit, shake and play dead are great for one treat-at-a-time. But imagine if your pet learned the names of all his/her toys, was able to open and close a door, jump through a hoop or weave through an obstacle course! Okay we got excited, but even learning one more small trick can be a great bonding opportunity!
2. PICK UP PROPER DENTAL HYGEINE
Take preventative measures in pet dental health this year with tasty brushless tooth-paste, chews, oral spray, or for the brave, tooth brushes. Over time, pets can develop stinky breath, plaque and tartar that lead to serious health issues so acting now can have big benefits down the road!
3. GET MORE MANI-PEDIS
Keeping your pet’s nails trimmed helps prevent arthritis, hip dysplasia, and general discomfort. When pet nails are too long they can push up against their sensitive nail beds.
4. SPEND TIME OUTDOORS
You probably already take your pet outdoors for walks or visits to Kriser’s! Try incorporating hikes, dog park visits, or even rotating in restaurants with outdoor patios. Our pets spend so much of their time in the house, and a simple activity can help him/her stay socialized, provide important mental stimulation and added exercise.
5. EAT HEALTHIER (TREATS COUNT TOO!)
Proper nutrition affects every aspect of their lives. Kriser’s hand-selects ever brand, protein source, and type of food to ensure the best quality. Healthy, nutrient dense food is typically gluten-free, grain-free, dairy-free, soy-free and can come in kibble, wet, dehydrated, air-dried or raw form. Probiotics, whole-meat treats, bone broth, and many other healthy treats can easily be incorporated into their meals.
We’re all about happy, healthy, natural and we know you are too. Share your pet’s personal resolutions with us on the Kriser’s Facebook page, we love hearing about their individual goals.
